Privacy policy

Your data stays in your browser.

Tab Manipulator is designed to perform its work locally in your browser.

In short: Tab Manipulator handles open-tab details and schedule settings only to run the rotation and refresh actions you choose. That data stays in the extension's local browser storage and is not sent to BWork0 or any third party.

Data handled by the extension

Tab Manipulator reads metadata for currently open tabs, including the URL, title, site icon, pinned status, position, and whether a tab is active. It does not access Chrome's browsing history database or read the contents of web pages.

The extension uses this metadata to list eligible tabs, identify the tabs you select, rotate between them, refresh them, and safely match active targets after a browser restart. It also handles the settings you enter and the state of active schedules.

Storage and transmission

  • Your settings are stored in extension-local browser storage until you change them or remove the extension.
  • While a schedule is active, the extension stores descriptors for the selected tabs, such as their URLs and titles, together with local browser identifiers, timing, and schedule status.
  • Stopping a schedule deletes its runtime target descriptors. Removing the extension deletes the remaining extension-local data through your browser.
  • No browsing metadata, settings, error details, or usage data is sent to BWork0 or any third party.
  • The extension includes no analytics, advertising, remote logging, or remote executable code.
  • No account is required.

When the extension refreshes a tab, the browser may contact that page and its service providers in the same way it would during a manual refresh. The privacy practices of those websites are governed by their own policies.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Tab Manipulator uses tab metadata only to provide its user-facing rotation and refresh features. It does not use or transfer this data for advertising, profiling, unrelated purposes, creditworthiness, or lending. The data is not transmitted to BWork0, so no person at BWork0 can access it.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Browser permissions

  • tabs: Read eligible tab details, activate selected tabs, and reload scheduled tabs.
  • storage: Save your settings and active schedule state locally.
  • alarms: Schedule reliable rotation and refresh work.

Tab Manipulator does not request browsing-history, identity, content-script, scripting, or broad website-access permissions.

Your choices

You choose which tabs to automate and when to start or stop a schedule. Tab Manipulator does not access or maintain Chrome's general browsing history.

Children's privacy

Tab Manipulator is not directed to children and does not ask users for names, email addresses, account details, or other identity information.

Changes to this policy

If the extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed version is released. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
